Description
Bereschit is Hebrew and means Beginning. It is an allegory of Creation, where it is implied that Creation and Evolution are actually the same thing. According to Science, life began in the primordial waters and evolved to become the human being. Thus, in this painting, human beings are seen emerging from the primeval ocean. On the other hand, according to a cabalistic account, the Hebrew alphabet (here floating on the waters) was the instrument used by God to create all things by combining the letters.
